Grayscale and Bitwise Apply to Launch Ether Spot ETF Options Trading
PANews, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Grayscale and Bitwise have joined forces with the New York Stock Exchange to file a rule change with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposing to list and trade an option on the Bitwise Ether ETF, the Grayscale Ether Trust and the Grayscale Ether Mini-Trust, according to a report by The Block. "The Exchange believes that offering the options will benefit investors by providing them with a relatively low-cost investment vehicle to help them gain exposure to spot Ether, as well as a hedging tool for their investment needs in Ether products and positions," the filing states. Comments on the proposal will be submitted within 21 days. According to previous news, BlackRock and Nasdaq have also filed to launch trading in spot Ether ETF options.
