Casper Security Incident Update: Fewer than 15 Accounts Affected, Teams Have Developed Patches and Are Testing Them
On July 29th, Casper Blockchain released an update on the security incident where it discovered a security vulnerability on July 26th and has confirmed that the number of affected accounts is less than 15. The Casper team has developed a patch and is testing it. To prevent further losses, the validator community has decided to suspend consensus and block production. The Casper network remains online and consensus and validation will resume after the patch is released and verified.The Casper Association will conduct a full investigation and work with the relevant authorities to recover any unauthorized transfer of funds.
