Winshore: 'Trump trade' expected to fall further if Biden drops out
The "Trump trade," fueled by speculation that his challenger will introduce more fiscal stimulus and revive the economy, could retreat further if President Joe Biden decides to drop out of his re-election bid and be replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris, according to Gang Hu, managing partner at Winshore Capital Partners. "Hu argued that even if Trump wins the presidential election on Nov. 5, a Harris candidacy could reduce the likelihood of a Republican sweep of Congress. He said Harris "could free up time and resources for Democrats to contest Congress."
