Stablecoin Trading Volume on Centralized Exchanges Hits 7-Month Low in June
July 11 (Bloomberg) -- Stablecoin trading volume on centralized exchanges fell to a seven-month low of $97 billion in June, a decline of 18 percent, and despite the drop in trading volume, the total market capitalization of stablecoins grew 0.53 percent to $161 billion, its highest level since April 2022, although the rate of growth has slowed since May. Stablecoin's market share rose from 6.22% in May to 6.83% in June. usdt dominated with a 70% market share, while other stablecoins such as Ethena's USDe also saw significant growth. The overall slowdown in trading volumes reflects broader market uncertainty.
