Polkadot launches new proposal to shorten pledge unlocking period from 28 days to 2 days
Polkadot's new RFC-0092 proposal proposes to shorten the unlock period from 28 days to just two days, with the goal of reducing the duration of unlocking pledged tokens on Polkadot, improving the user experience, and maintaining cybersecurity. The new mechanism will significantly reduce the unlocking time on average by queuing new unlocking requests and adjusting the unlocking duration based on the size of the queue.
