UwU Lend to Create $5 Million Bounty for "First to Identify and Locate" Vulnerability Exploit
After the UwU Lend attackers failed to return funds, the protocol is taking another step to find the hackers. According to the Input Data Message (IDM) on Ether, UwU Lend has set up a $5 million ETH bounty for the "first person to identify and locate" the exploiter of the vulnerability, adding that "no funds or fees are required for recovery ". Previously, the protocol had discussed setting up bounties directly with exploiters. Attackers can keep 20 percent of what they stole as long as they return 80 percent, and if the exploiters comply, the agreement says it will not pursue the matter further or involve law enforcement in the matter. The attackers had until 1 p.m. (EST) Wednesday to return the funds. But in a message sent to the attackers on Thursday, UwU Lend wrote "The deadline for repayment of the funds you stole has passed."
