'Delicate' talks on crypto legislation underway
Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming said today that "delicate" negotiations on U.S. crypto legislation are ongoing, not only between Democrats and Republicans, but also between the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on a daily basis. Lummis, a cryptocurrency policy advocate in the Senate and co-author of one of the most wide-ranging legislative efforts to regulate digital assets, said stablecoin projects have the best chance of success this year because of the "good technical assistance feedback" received from the Federal Reserve, Lummis said: "I am optimistic that we will see stablecoin legislation this year or even in the first half of this year. "
