BlackRock has submitted documents to the SEC, hoping to project advertisements for its Bitcoin ETF on buildings in multiple cities
In a document submitted to the SEC on January 31, BlackRock proposed an event to project spot Bitcoin ETF advertisements onto buildings. The document briefly describes BlackRock's plan and points out that the IBIT signal is an animation intended to be projected onto the exterior walls of former financial institutions in New York City, Miami, and Los Angeles. This storyboard uses our Miami appearance as a template. The forecast contains "IBIT" for most of its runtime, referring to the stock code of BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT). Each image shows a timeline of events before BlackRock launched its spot Bitcoin ETF this January. Some images describe the launch of America's first stock market in 1790, the first U.S. ETF in 1993, the introduction of Bitcoin in 2009, and the first Bitcoin futures contract in 2017. Other scenes read "Accessing a new era" and "Spot Bitcoin ETF is here."
