Mt.Gox trustees have contacted creditors to confirm their account details and the company is prepared to repay claims
The trustee of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange Mt.Gox has contacted creditors to confirm their account details and is preparing to repay debts. At least two creditors have reportedly received funds. In emails sent to several creditors, the Mt.Gox recovery trustee confirmed the existence of their accounts and indicated that repayment in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is expected. The email warns that if your account is disabled or frozen in the future, you may not receive repayment in BTC/BCH. Some creditors have shared copies of their emails on Reddit. It appears that users of Bitstamp and several Kraken users have received confirmation. A creditor from Poland and another from Japan have reported receiving repayment, with 80% of claims refunded in USD via bank transfer.
