CBOE and NASDAQ have submitted applications to the U.S. SEC for spot BTC ETF options trading
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced on January 19 that it has received applications for BTC ETF options trading from Nasdaq and the Chicago Options Exchange. Reportedly, Nasdaq applied to amend its rules to allow it to list and trade options on BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust. The Chicago Options Exchange (CBOE) applied to list and trade options applicable to "Bitcoin ETP (Exchange Traded Product)" holdings, with CBOE currently having listed 6 out of the 10 spot BTC ETFs approved by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
