Vitalik: Becoming Validium is the right choice for most blockchain apps, and a good distributed DA ensures that the system can enhance its security
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin affirmed the view of Taiko CEO Daniel Wang on his social platform that "using other data chains DA's Rollup can be considered as Ethereum Validium". At the same time, Vitalik pointed out that the core of Rollup is unconditional security. If DA relies on systems outside of Ethereum, it cannot achieve this. However, becoming Validium is a more correct choice for many blockchain applications, and using a good distributed DA guarantee system can be a good method to improve the actual security of Validium. Validium is an extensibility solution for Ethereum Layer 2, which can be understood as ZKRollup without using ETH as the DA layer.
