Optimism institutional investors to unlock 73 million OPs this Wednesday, current float is over 6x
According to Lookonchain's analysis, Layer 2 solution Optimism raised 3 rounds of funding from institutional investors before issuing the Token, including Paradigm, IDEO CoLab Ventures, and a16z, among others. These institutions raised a total of $178.5 million in funding for Optimism and received 7.3 billion OPs (17% of the total) in return.
The average cost of OP to institutional investors is about $0.2445. As of press time, OP is now quoted at $1.63, so institutional investors have a float of about 6.6 times.
At 08:00 on May 31, 154,618,822.65 OPs will be unlocked, of which 73 million will go to institutional investors.
