What is Bitgert (BRISE)?
Bitgert is a DeFi-focused blockchain launched in 2021. In its whitepaper, it claims to be able to reach a performance rate of 100,000 transactions per second by implementing optimal consensus mechanisms together with the most suitable block interval and block volume. The blockchain, also known as the BRC20 chain, also boasts zero gas fee and being the fastest growing ecosystem in the industry. In less than two years, Bitgert has verified more than 16 million transactions, and powered dapps of all genres, from DeFi and NFT to metaverse and bridge.
How Bitgert (BRISE) Works
Bitgert uses Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus mechanism to enable faster blocks and lower fees. In this mechanism, validators are chosen by voting, and take turns validating new blocks. New blocks are only added if they are approved by more than two-thirds of validators.
The BRC20 chain is also built to be EVM-compatible and interoperable, so users can perform cross-chain transfers and developers can deploy their dapps with ease.
At the heart of the Bitgert blockchain is the BRISE token. It can be staked for governance or used as the gas for smart contract execution.
