About Flow (FLOW)

What is Flow (FLOW)?

Flow is a community-controlled, open and fully decentralized blockchain that was designed with decentralization in mind. It has grown increasingly decentralized over time with more than 10,000 developers engaged in building applications on Flow and over 3,000 smart contracts presently deployed on the network. Only a third of the nodes are controlled by a single entity, and a diverse range of teams and projects are building on Flow.

How does Flow (FLOW) Work?

On Flow, nodes are operated by members of the community. Anyone can become a validator by staking FLOW tokens and running a node, thus ensuring that the network remains decentralized. The network is inherently secure due to the separation of concerns, with consensus being separated from transaction execution. This makes the network more resistant to attacks. Flow is designed to scale without sharding, which allows for high throughput and low latency while preserving decentralization. Flow's governance structure prioritizes safety, transparency, and longevity, with a community-led approach to platform maintenance, administration, and growth.

What makes Flow (FLOW) Unique?

Flowdiver provides a comprehensive overview of the Flow network, displaying important details about the distribution of stake across numerous nodes located in different regions. This platform also monitors the network's operational status and efficiency, presenting essential metrics such as uptime for both the network and access nodes, collection and block finalization, transaction execution, sealing metrics, and the consensus leaderboard.

What is the FLOW Token?

Flow is a blockchain based on proof of stake that uses the native token of the chain, FLOW. This token is used to reward staked participants, facilitate transactions within the ecosystem, and cover network fees.

FLOW has multiple critical functions within the Flow network, including staking, rewards, fees, storage deposits, medium of exchange, collateral, and governance. The token is required for validators and delegators to participate in the network and is also used for transaction fees. In addition, FLOW serves as a collateral on DeFi apps and is the principal token for voting on future protocol and ecosystem development.

FAQ

Is Flow (FLOW) a good investment?

Flow, with its robust backing by industry giants, holds immense promise in the crypto arena. Crafted by Dapper Labs, the mastermind behind CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot, Flow has garnered support from powerhouses like Animoca Brands and Ubisoft. This strong affiliation has continually bolstered the Flow price and market cap. Moreover, Flow isn't just celebrated in the crypto domain; it's also endorsed by mainstream juggernauts like Warner Music Group, Samsung, and NFL. This widespread recognition accentuates the potential of Flow in the decentralized space, particularly as we advance towards Web 3.0. As more initiatives find their footing on the Flow blockchain and the broader crypto sector thrives, the FLOW price might witness a surge. In times of heightened market optimism, investors often diversify their portfolio beyond top-tier cryptos, making FLOW a notable contender. It stands out as a digital asset with impressive liquidity, trading volume, and investor interest, especially during bullish phases.

What factors influence FLOW price?

FLOW has cemented its position in the top 50 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap, marking it as a digital asset to keep an eye on. Its prominent trading volume and liquidity, especially on major exchanges like Bitget, underscore its appeal for investment and trading purposes. Yet, given that FLOW is still in its nascent stages compared to other veteran cryptos, it might be prudent to allocate a modest amount of your investment to it initially. With the growing interest in Web 3.0 ventures, especially within the NFT and gaming sectors, FLOW's valuation could potentially soar, offering attractive returns. For those looking at passive income opportunities, FLOW stands out. By staking your FLOW tokens, you can accrue interest, making it a viable long-term digital asset in your investment portfolio.

How does FLOW coin work?

FLOW is the intrinsic cryptocurrency of the Flow blockchain. It's utilized to compensate network validators for securely and decentralizedly processing transactions. Additionally, FLOW serves as a means of exchange among Flow participants and within applications built on Flow.

Is FLOW better than Ethereum?

On the one hand, Ethereum uses sharding to enable horizontal scalability, whereas Flow relies on multi-node infrastructure to facilitate vertical scalability. The nodes are arranged so that the work is divided between them, ensuring speedy execution. Ethereum has been using the PoW consensus protocol untill recently whereas Flow is running on the PoS model from the get go. PoW is not the best option for NFT projects as it also causes scalability issues. Now that Ethereum also is using PoS the initial gap between the technologies is tightening.

Is FLOW better for NFT development than Ethereum?

Transaction Efficiency: Flow, with its proof of stake (PoS) foundation, guarantees lower fees and quicker transactions compared to Ethereum's higher gas costs. With a capability to process up to 1,000 TPS, Flow outshines Ethereum's 15 TPS, making it an eco-friendly choice for NFT platforms. Scalability: Flow's unique multi-node structure offers superior scalability over Ethereum's sharding approach, ensuring faster project growth without compromising on security. Smart Contract Advantages: Flow provides a beta release option for smart contracts, enabling developers to refine before a full launch, ensuring optimized performance and better user experience.

What are some achievments of FLOW?

Flow has secured extensive partnerships with big brands and sports franchises. The blockchain is the official web3 partner of the NBA; UFC; NFL; La Liga; Dr. Seuss; Samsung; Ubisoft; Animoca brands; Genies, and the Warner Music Group. The altchain also secured a partnership with Instagram, allowing select users to connect their Dapper wallet to the Instagram platform and showcase their NFT collection. However, Instagram’s flirt with NFTs was (initially at least) short-lived, with the app dropping its support for digital collectibles in May 2023.

WAI Chart Unfolding — Key Levels, Market Psychology, and What Traders Should Watch Next
🔻 $WAI / USDT — 1H Tactical Note let's start with Quick snapshot 🔻 Price trading near $0.054–$0.056 after a sharp impulse from the $0.032–$0.048 coil. 🔻 Structure: ascending trendline held; triangle/upper resistance cleared; measured-move wick printed; now in a distribution / retest band. 🔻 Tone: momentum remains constructive, but the highest-probability entries are patient retests into structural support. Technical read — what I see and why it matters 🔻 Structure: long rising support remains intact; breakout above the upper trendline validated the move. The recent pullback sits inside your highlighted orange retest area — this is the decision zone. 🔻 Momentum: MACD histogram is positive and widening, signaling trend acceleration. RSI mid-60s shows strength but warns that short-term overbought reactivity is possible. Stoch-RSI rolling down indicates a near-term pullback window — ideal timing for disciplined buyers. 🔻 Volume & ATR: volume spiked on the thrust; ATR jumped from coil baseline — the move has force. Elevated ATR raises the need for wider, ATR-based stops to avoid noise stops. 🔻 Flow: Accumulation/Distribution and EOM surged into the breakout then cooled; smart-money likely participated and some profit-taking followed — watch if accumulation resumes on the retest. Trade map — decisive price levels (chart-derived) 🔻 Optimal retest zone (buy area): $0.048 – $0.052 (VWAP + fast EMA cluster). 🔻 Hold line (trend): $0.046 (loss invites deeper rotation). 🔻 Demand magnet (long term): $0.033 – $0.037 (historical accumulation). 🔻 Extension targets if momentum continues: T1 = $0.070, T2 = $0.085, stretch = $0.100. 🔻 Bull invalidation: hourly close below $0.044. Indicator rules — exact, non-opinionated triggers 🔻 MACD: require histogram > 0 and rising for momentum adds; a falling MACD after the retest is a warning. 🔻 RSI: prefer buying dips toward 50–60; avoid chasing above 75. 🔻 Stoch-RSI: use for tight scalps — buy on clean oversold cross inside the retest band. 🔻 Volume / OBV: continuation validates only when 1H volume ≥ recent 20-hr average or OBV prints a higher high. 🔻 ATR: set stop = 1.5× ATR for retest entries; if ATR doubles versus baseline, widen stops proportionally. Three practical plays — pick the one that matches your risk profile 🔻 A) Structured Retest (preferred, higher R:R) • Condition: price tests $0.048–$0.050 with rejection wick + buy-volume + Stoch-RSI turn up. • Entry: limit on rejection; Stop: below $0.046. • Targets: T1 $0.070 (partial), T2 $0.085. 🔻 B) Momentum Add (opportunistic, smaller size) • Condition: 1H close back above recent high with VWAP support and volume. • Entry: add small size; Stop: 1.5×ATR; scale into strength. • Targets: ladder to T1/T2. 🔻 C) Defensive / Short (if structure fails) • Condition: hourly close < $0.046 with rising sell volume and OBV down. • Action: reduce longs, consider short with strict stops. • Targets: $0.041 → $0.035. Execution & risk math — concrete example you can copy 🔻 Risk per trade: 1% of account equity. 🔻 Sizing formula: Position = (Account risk $) / (Stop distance $). 🔻 Example: Account = $10,000 → risk = $100. ATR ≈ $0.004 → stop = 1.5×ATR = $0.006 → size = $100 / $0.006 ≈ 16,666 units. Adjust for fees/slippage; reduce if orderbook shallow. Order mechanics & slippage management 🔻 Prefer limit entries on retests; split order (50% on retest, 50% on confirmation). 🔻 Use OCO for TP + stop. 🔻 Mandatory orderbook depth check before market orders — listings + campaign flow can create thin pockets and large slippage. Fundamental & on-chain layer — short and actionable 🔻 Listing effect: the Bitget listing increased spot liquidity and retail interest — positive for volatility and upside potential, but also raises chance of quick profit-taking. 🔻 On-chain watch: monitor exchange inflows (large transfers to exchanges often precede sell pressure) and any scheduled token unlocks or vesting events — these are structural supply risks that should reduce position size if imminent. Market psychology — practical insight 🔻 Breakouts attract FOMO; the best trades are where early buyers are willing to buy again (retest). If RSI stays high while OBV climbs, conviction is present. If RSI collapses faster than OBV, the move is likely being faded. Pre-trade checklist (pass all before entry) 🔻 1H retest or confirmation pattern present. 🔻 Volume or OBV aligned with trade direction. 🔻 Price sits above VWAP for longs or clearly below for shorts. 🔻 EMA ribbon aligned or ATR confirms impulse. 🔻 Orderbook depth acceptable and no imminent unlocks. Final takeaway — copy-ready sentence 🔻 Breakout validated by volume and momentum; the highest-probability edge is a patient buy on retest into $0.048–$0.052 using ATR-based stops. If the retest fails under $0.046, expect a quick rotation lower — trade the structure, not the noise.

WAI Masterclass: The Complete Tactical Playbook for Precision Trading at a Market Turning Point
$WAI / USDT —1H Playbook (post-breakout digestion) → Price area: ~0.056 after a violent impulse from the ~0.048 choke. → Structure: rising support line intact. Upper trendline cleared. Measured move printed; now in distribution + retest. → Context: listing liquidity + campaign-driven volume likely amplified the spike. Expect sharp moves and fast retraces. What the charts tell us — quick facts → Breakout: hourly close above the triangle (~0.048) triggered a strong thrust. → Measured move: wick reached ~0.080+ (big vertical). → Current action: pullback into 0.050–0.056 zone; buyers stepping in but profit-taking visible. → Momentum: MACD bullish and climbing. RSI near ~70 — shows strength but short-term overbought risk. → Volume/ATR: volume spiked on the thrust; ATR expanded materially versus the coil baseline — move has real force. → Flow: Accum/Dist and EOM spiked into breakout then eased — smart money likely participated; watch follow-through. Primary levels (trade map) → Immediate support: 0.050 – 0.052 (VWAP & 8EMA cluster). → Safe re-entry zone: 0.048 – 0.050 (good risk/reward if price retests). → Trendline / structural support: 0.046 (if lost, revert to trend test). → Demand base: 0.033 – 0.037 (long-term buyer zone shown on chart). → Major resistance / extension: 0.070 → 0.085 (measured targets), stretch 0.100 if momentum continues. Top indicator readouts & how to use them (practical) → Volume / OBV: require 1H volume > 20-hr avg on any continuation; OBV making higher highs = institutional follow-through. → VWAP: price > VWAP after retest = intraday buyer control. Use for intraday sizing. → EMA ribbon (8/21/50): if 8>21>50 and ribbon widens, trend confirmed — add. If ribbon compresses, tighten stops. → ATR (14): expansion confirms impulse. Use stop = 1.5× ATR on retest entries. → MACD + RSI: MACD hist >0 and RSI between 50–70 = clean momentum; RSI >75 = trim and wait for retest. → EOM / AccumDist: spikes upward at breakout — monitor for large reversals when EOM collapses. → VPVR: liquidity shelf under 0.040 is a magnet on deep selloffs. Actionable trade plans (pick one) A) Momentum Add (aggressive) → Condition: 1H hold > 0.052 + VWAP support + vol ≥ 20-hr avg. → Entry: market/limit at 0.052–0.054. → Stop: -1.5×ATR below entry. → Targets: T1 0.070 (take 30–40%), T2 0.085 (take 30%), hold rest with trail. B) Retest Play (safer) → Condition: clean retest into 0.048–0.050, rejection wick, vol spike on buy. → Entry: limit at 0.049. → Stop: below 0.046. → Targets: 0.060 → scale out. C) Protective / Short (if structure fails) → Condition: hourly close < 0.046 with rising sell vol. → Action: reduce longs or short small size. → Targets: 0.041 → 0.035. → Stop: above 0.048–0.050. Sizing example → Account $10,000, risk 1% = $100. → If ATR-based stop distance = $0.0015 → size = $100 / $0.0015 ≈ 66,666 units. → Adjust for fees/slippage; reduce size if orderbook is thin. Pre-trade checklist (must pass all) 1. Hourly candle shows close above or valid retest. 2. Volume ≥ 20-hr avg or OBV confirms. 3. Price > VWAP for longs. 4. EMA ribbon aligned OR ATR confirms impulse. 5. Orderbook depth checked; no large pending sell transfers. Final notes → Don’t chase the wick. Buy structured retests or validated momentum. → Watch exchange inflows & vesting days — they flip market structure fast. → Keep tight stops; size to live another day.

Here’s the current Bitcoin price: How Bitcoin’s Price May Affect the $TCOM Token 1. Market Sentiment & Altcoin Movement When Bitcoin rises or falls significantly, it tends to sway the broader cryptocurrency market. Many altcoins—especially smaller community-driven tokens like TCOM—often follow Bitcoin’s lead, particularly during periods of strong market trends. If Bitcoin drops sharply, investor confidence shrinks, which can lead to declines in altcoins like TCOM; if Bitcoin rallies, capital may flow back into altcoins, buoying their prices. 2. Correlation & Liquidity Dynamics TCOM Global trades on the Binance Smart Chain and is relatively small in market capitalization and trading volume compared to Bitcoin. That makes it highly sensitive to liquidity shifts. A large Bitcoin move can cause funds to move into or out of speculative tokens quickly, amplifying price swings. 3. Correlation Data There’s no public data specifically reporting the correlation coefficient between Bitcoin and TCOM. General tools like Crypto Correlation or TradingEconomics cover major cryptos, but smaller tokens like $TCOM might not be included. To understand TCOM’s sensitivity to Bitcoin moves, you’d need custom historical price data and correlation analysis.
