How to Buy USDT using NGN (Naira) via P2P

Prerequisites:

- Download Bitget application on Playstore or App store

- Register for a Bitget account and verify your Bitget app using your national ID or Passport

- Have an existing verified Bitget account

Follow these steps to buy cryptocurrency on the Bitget app using P2P trading.

Before trading P2P, ensure you have completed the identity verification process and added your preferred payment method.

How to Buy USDT via Bitget P2P (App)

Step 1- Navigate to P2P Trading

Open the Bitget app and log in to your account. Navigate to the Home tab and tap the Add Funds button. Next, select P2P Trading.

Step 2 - Choose Your Crypto and Merchant

Select the type of cryptocurrency you want to buy; we highly recommend starting by buying USDT first. You can filter P2P offers by coin type, fiat type, or payment methods. Select USDT (a Stablecoin denominated to the dollar - USD).

Step 3 - Enter Purchase Details

Once you've made your selection, Enter the amount in NGN or USDT and tap Buy to proceed. Enter the amount of NGN (Naira) you wish to spend. The system will automatically calculate the amount of USDT or equivalent crypto you will receive. Next, tap Buy USDT and click confirm purchase. The merchant's crypto assets are held by Bitget P2P once the order is created.

Step 4 - Transfer Funds

You will need to confirm the payment method to use, then you will see the merchant's payment details. Transfer the funds to the merchant's preferred payment method which can be seen as shown on the second screenshot within the specified time limit, often 15 minutes. You can contact the merchant using the P2P chat box if needed.

After transferring the funds, tap Paid, Now click “I have transferred xxx NGN to the above account” as shown below and

Important Note: Transfer the payment directly to the merchant through a bank transfer or another payment platform (as per their payment details). If you have already transferred the payment, do not click Cancel unless you have received a refund from the merchant. Do not click Paid unless you have completed the payment.

Step 5 - Complete the Trade

Once the seller confirms your payment, they will release the crypto to you, completing the trade. You can click Asset to check your wallet. Alternatively, you can view your purchased crypto in the Assets tab by navigating to Funds and selecting the Transaction History button in the top right corner of the screen.

How to Sell USDT via Bitget P2P (App)

If you need to sell Crypto in currency, follow the P2P Transaction Guide (App version:

1. Log in to the Bitget App. (Required to complete the KYC identity verification process)

2. Click the 'Assets' button on the bottom right part of the Bitget app.

3. Click the ‘OTC' wallet button on the top menu; Ensure you have funds on the OTC Wallet, if not, please click “Transfer” and Move funds from Spot/Futures wallet to OTC wallet

4. Under “OTC” wallet, Click “Sell”

- Now under P2P Trading, click on the ‘Sell' located at the top.

- Then select USDT and Fiat (NGN) and click the 'sell' button under the merchant with the rate you want..

5. Enter the amount of Fiat or Cryptocurrency you’d like to sell.

- Click the ‘Sell USDT' button.

- Now you will wait till the buyer makes the payment to your provided account [Ensure you have added a payment method prior to opening the trade, here’s how to add a payment method]

Do note, you could chat the buyer on the highlighted box as shown below

6. The buyer will pay within the transaction deadline and check the deposit.

- After checking the deposit in your provided payment method, click the ‘Release' button after you have confirmed the amount has been sent in entirerity.

- The wallet will now be debitted which you can verify by clicking “View asssets”
