The United States launches investigation into Bitmain over national security concerns
Jinse Finance reported that the United States has launched an investigation into BTC mining giant Bitmain due to national security concerns. Reportedly, the "Operation Red Sunset" led by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security is investigating whether Bitmain's mining machines could potentially be used for espionage activities or to disrupt the power grid in the United States. Currently, Bitmain has denied having any remote control capabilities and stated that the company "strictly complies with U.S. and applicable laws and regulations, and has never engaged in any activities that pose a risk to U.S. national security," calling the claims that it can remotely control devices "absolutely false."
